How to Measure Your Head
If at all possible, have someone else measure your
head. Use a soft dressmaker's tape, and measure the circumference of
your head, just above your ears and brow, where you would want the
sweatband to rest. Bear in mind that hats and caps are meant to be worn
straight on--not flipped back. Give us your actual head measurement, in
inches, without leaving any extra room for comfort or pulling the tape
too tightly. Let us know if your head is a "long oval" (if you've had
problems in the past with hats feeling tight front and back and loose
on the sides, this is likely the case) or if you prefer a looser or
tighter fitting hat or cap.
No CODs or purchase orders will be accepted. There
will be a $30 charge for any returned checks.
In-stock orders paid by money order, VISA,
MasterCard and Discover are usually shipped within a week. Checks
will be held three weeks for clearance before your order is processed.
See the Shipping and Handling section below to determine the delivery
charge for your order.
Unless you are ordering first-class service on a
hat you know we have in stock, expect to wait 12 to 16 weeks
for your order. Feel free to call us to check availability of specific
items before placing your order. As a rule, we do not respond to
repeated status checks before the end of the 12- to 16-week period so
that Bill can spend his time making hats rather than talking on the
phone or writing letters. We thank you for your understanding.
Sometimes our suppliers keep us waiting or other
circumstances arise that may delay your order. Please accept our
apologies in advance for these few and infrequent delays. Also please
understand that our hats and caps are made one at a time to your
specifications, and hand-made hats take time. We feel you'll agree that
their quality is worth the wait.
If you would like to exchange a hat for another
size, style, or color, return it in new condition, let us know what you
would like in exchange, and include a check or money order (or your
credit card number) for shipping and handling (see Shipping and
Handling section below). If you would like a refund, return the hat in
new condition with a brief explanation of your dissatisfaction, and we
will refund the price of the hat. We do not refund shipping and
handling charges. When returning a hat to us, be sure to insure it. Please

ship most orders insured through the United States Postal Service,
the Continental United States. Orders east of Nashville must be accompanied by a
$15 shipping and handling fee (per order, not per hat). West of
Nashville, shipping is $15 for caps, kepis, and other smaller items. The charge to ship larger hats
west of Nashville
is $20. If you are in doubt, contact us. For overnight delivery, send
$35 and note "Overnight Delivery" on your order. Check with us before
ordering overnight delivery to see if what you want is readily
available. Overnight delivery is not available in all areas. Check with
your post office before placing overnight orders.

and expiration date. Please include the
3-digit security code found to the right of your account number on the

Returns must be made within 30 days of
receipt of your purchase. Merchandise must be unworn and accompanied by
a receipt. We will not accept used merchandise for refund or exchange.
If you do not want an item in exchange, your return is subject to a 25%
restocking fee. Returns not accompanied by a receipt will be for store
credit only. We are not a rental agency.
