$3500 Circa 1821, Militia shako without arrows (militia shakos typically had to be turned back to the armory after service). Veterans would "souvenir" the arrows for watch fobs. sweat band, elaborate leather work (possibly german) such as would be produced by Philadelphia horsemen. Typical false articulated scales. Eagle plate, typical of 1821, with silver wash over copper "unity is strength"style: Good+ Condition. |

Militia Top Hat
with Plume $2000 Circa 1840s. Has a copper eagle plate, reading "Unity is strength", dipped in silver wash. Has lining and sweat complete embossed lining in side top of hat says made expressly for W.W. Noyes, Brandon,Vermont". The embossment, dating the hat, shows patriotic panoplay with capital building without the indian. Excellent Condition. |

Confederate Kepi $16000 Fine gray jean cloth with original braid rank of lietenant, has lining and sweat in tact. Has chinstrap, bound visor, and South Carolina state seal buttons. Some slight restoration. Chemical analysis of cloth body and lining verifies age. Excellent condition. |
